Q: What is Calisthenics?
A: Calisthenics comes from the Greek words Kalos and Sthenos meaning Beauty and Strength. Defined as training with your body weight as resistance with moves such as squats, pull ups, push ups, and a lot more exercises than you can image!
We offer two main group classes:
Q: How long should I eat before my workout?
A: It depends on you metabolism. We recommend eating a balanced meal at least 2 hours before your workout while staying hydrated. We need the fuel in our body to get through any activity that requires mental focus and energy.
Q: What should I expect to happen after my first calisthenics group class? Will I be sore?
A: Expect your body to feel sore for the next 24 to 72 hours, but don’t worry! This is just your body adapting to the stress you put on it during the workout. If you feel too sore, the coaches can help you with some mobility exercises that can help you or give you good advice on diet and nutrition for alleviating soreness.
